Date stayed April 2011:
A wonderful find on the banks of the river Wye. We hadnt realised when booking just how well placed this property is, right on Offa's Dyke and in the midst of so many beautiful walks. We ventured out straight from the house and didnt need to use our car at all which was a real bonus. The breakfasts were superb and nothing was too much trouble, the Farmers are a delightful couple who really made this a five star experience. This is now on our list of top holiday spots!

Excellent hospitality - a very comfortable & peaceful stay. Luxury every evening after a long days walking.
We have so enjoyed our short break in the Wye Valley. The peace & tranquility of your lovely cottage has made all the difference.

I stayed at Prospect Cottage for 2 nights on 14th/15th March 2010 in the course of walking the Offa's Dyke National Trail. Mr & Mrs Farmer were the best of friendly, hospitable B&B hosts. Firstly they offered to drive me back to Sedbury Cliffs (the start of the trail) and walk to Prospect Cottage and then the next day walk on to my next stay beyond Monmouth. That meant I only used one B&B rather than 2 so reduced the amount of packing/unpacking I had to do. The accommodation was extremely good - one of the best I stayed at - with all the space and facilities I needed. It was very clean indeed with wonderful linen. Breakfast and evening meal were delicious with all the choices one could want and nothing was too much trouble. The property was in a lovely location with great views, lots of woodland and wildelife and lovely clear dark sky for anybody interested in star gazing.
